Porches

Porches - Offering useful space and savings on heating bills
A porch is a functional addition to a property, providing a dry and secure space before entering a dwelling. It also saves on heating costs by creating an additional buffer to the outdoor elements. In order to construct a porch without Planning Permission, the following should be adhered to. It should be noted that any design concept only slightly beyond these limitations can still be accepted, within reason.
Dimensionally
- The floor area should not exceed 3 square metres.
- The height should not exceed 3 metres.
Positioning
- The location should not be within 2 metres of a boundary or highway.
